Designed for Performance - Engineered for Automotive

By focusing on the demanding requirements of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, SWITCH has designed the only smart window solution specifically engineered for automotive applications.

SWITCH’s low-cost manufacturing and integration-ready design provides opportunities for higher margins and take rates on existing vehicle sunroof options, and high value-added features on additional glazing surfaces.

SWITCH active interlayer improves vehicle fuel efficiency and lowers CO2 emissions by reducing the air-conditioning loads imposed by the increased solar heat gain associated with the larger glazing surfaces of today’s vehicles.

SWITCH active interlayer’s low power requirements makes it ideal for electric vehicles, where blocking heat and reducing air-conditioning loads are critical factors in maintaining comfort while maximizing range.

SWITCH active interlayer is a highly visible feature that creates significant customer impact while enhancing your brand with the latest in customer experience technology.

The durability, simple integration, colour options, and performance of SWITCH active interlayer provides designers with a solution to solar heat gain and glare without sacrificing style, enabling large glazing areas for open cabins and bold design.

The dark and light state of SWITCH active interlayer can be tuned to different transmission values to meet the specific requirements of different glazing surfaces for total vehicle solar light management.
